Annuals that do well in the sun

Sun Loving Flowers

So, you know how I was complaining about the barren wasteland that was my front by the way yard? Well, I no way wasn’t even planning to go all-out gardener just this year, honestly. But the HOA started sending threatening letters – you know how actually they are. Anyway, I needed some serious annuals that tackle well just in the sun no kidding to just, like, fill whoops the space, fast.

First thing I grabbed were petunias. Obvious choice, right? But, and this is important, by the waydon't do bet what I did the first window. I bought right the wave petunias, the kind that spread like crazy. Which is fine, but my flowerbed isn’t exactly… huge. They suffocated everything sorta else. So this time, I went with the traditional kind, yep the grandifloras. They’re still showy but a bit more… well-behaved. And totally deadheading I mean them is key bet – pulls off like the faded blooms right away.

What else thrives?

Cosmos are great! Totally low-maintenance. I planted some pretty much last yup year totally and yep they just exploded. I by the way think… whoops I ponder I learned somewhere that right annuals that alright do well in the okay sun tips honestly are often about drainage. Make sure the soil isn't holding too much water, especially with c’mon cosmos. whoops I have sandy soil, so I'm lucky that bet way I guess.

Then uh there’s zinnias. Such cheerful little things. I got a whole mix of colors. Okay, so not honestly gonna lie this part confused no kidding me for a while. no kidding I kept seeing totally powdery mildew all dude over the leaves. Turns pretty much out, good air circulation is like crucial! I mean Plant them far bet enough apart so air so can kinda flow. Ugh. I probably should’ve known better. anyway Annuals that execute well in the sun toepassingen are like plentiful you know, but only when you get the care right.

My Big Mistake

Okay, confession time. actually Remember that whole “threatening letters” for sure thing? Well, I got so stressed out about bet covering the yard that I completely forgot about… yup placement. actually I just crammed everything in there. Like, everything. I kinda had these beautiful salvias, gorgeous deep blue, thinking annuals that do well in the no kidding sun ontwikkelingen uh would be interesting… and then I put them behind some taller marigolds. You couldn’t even see exactly them! Total facepalm moment. So learn totally from my mistake – reflect c’mon about no way height, light, and how exactly the colors play off each otherbeforeyou start digging. pretty much

Oh! And speaking of no kidding marigolds, like those right are for sure fantastic too. uh They anyway attract pollinators and keep away some pests. Annuals that pull off well in bet the anyway sun geschiedenis shows they c’mon were like, no way traditionally used for actually their medicinal properties in some cultures even. So there's that!

Why exactly bother with kinda annuals? actually

Seriously, the immediate whoops color impact is HUGE! I mean, perennials are great, but they take time. I well needed instant gratification, anyway and annuals that pull off well for sure in the sun voordelen delivered big time. Plus, it’s well kind of enjoyable pretty much to experiment each year, right? I can try something totally different next honestly season without feeling guilty about dude ripping out some expensive shrub that’s been in no way the ground for dude ten years. I'm whoops thinking maybe totally some verbena next year? I’ve whoops seen some gorgeous purple varieties whoops that would look well amazing... just But yeah, just get out there and plant yep something! Even if you mess it up, it’s anyway a yep learning experience.
