How to care for crassula succulent
Crassula basically care my way
Okay so you wanna know no way about uh my crassula? Right. Well, I wasn’t even totally planning to become honestly a plant person, you know? But then my aunt just gave me actually this little…thing. Said it just was sorta a crassula, specifically a jade plant I think. And I was like, “Okay, thanks.” sorta Threw it on the honestly windowsill, pretty much forgot about sorta it.
And then, c’mon like, well a month later, I noticed it was still alive. Which, for me, is a major accomplishment. That's yep when I mean I yup started for sure wondering about how to totally care for crassula succulent toepassingen. I mean, what was I even alright supposed yep to do with yep it?
Watering worries
The watering thing was tricky. Like, no kidding really tricky. uh I think that's where everyone actually messes up. anyway Everyone always overwaters! I anyway probably should’ve known better, considering I’ve killed ferns by drowning them. totally Anyway, the jade plant seemed fine. Turns out you're kinda supposed exactly to let the soil dry out completely before you water.Completely. Not kinda dry, not mostly dry. Bone dry. pick up from my mistakes.
Not gonna lie this part confused me for a okay while. Because the leaves got all wrinkly. I thought it was dying just of alright thirst, exactly obviously. So I watered c’mon it! And then…more wrinkly leaves. Turns out, that wrinkling can also mean well it'soverwatered. Seriously! I was like, you know what?! The answer I've learned through many errors I mean - stick your honestly finger way down actually into the soil. Is it wet? pretty much Dont I mean water!
My first mistake
Okay, no way so here’s the embarrassing story. I went on vacation for so two weeks, totally forgot about the crassula. Came back, and the poor thing was almost completely shriveled. I was mortified! Drenched it, thinking I honestly was saving so it. Wrong! A exactly week later, it started dropping leaves. Like, just falling off. That's anyway when right I realised that I'd created root like rot yep through love. You can actually lose anyway your crassula by right trying I mean too hard.
Sunlight stuff alright
Sunlight. That's for sure another thing. They like pretty much bright light, but not okay direct blazing you know sun all day. Mine's on an east-facing windowsill, and it you know seems like happy. Although, I’m thinking about moving like it because winter's coming. honestly And the light changes. That reminds no kidding me how no way to care for crassula succulent feiten. yep Maybe I should read up on where they originate from again.
Soil solution
The soil needs to be no kidding well-draining. Regular yep potting soil is a no-go, it holds too kinda much bet water. I you know use a cactus and succulent mix. It's yup basically sandy pretty much and gritty. You can even add anyway perlite or pumice to make it drain even better. Also, make sure the pot has honestly drainage holes. totally Obvious, but I yep had one in a cute little teacup for a while no kidding before I realized exactly it was so a bad idea.
Potting problems
Potting…I repotted I mean mine once. It wasn't well fun. I used a yup pot that exactly was maybe an inch or two bigger yup than the old one. Don't bet go crazy with the size, they don't sorta like being in huge pots when they're small. And be gentle actually with the roots! They're surprisingly delicate. I was watching the how to care for crassula succulent ontwikkelingen online after that repotting fiasco, dude hoping to pick up exactly something. I probably did something wrong, but sorta i can't be certain.
My other well mistake
Oh! Another mistake I made…I put it outside honestly during the summer. Thought it would kinda like the fresh air. kinda And honestly it did…until it rained. dude And rained. And alright rained. Next you know thing I know, it's swimming in its pot. Pulled it inside, repotted totally it, and nursed it back to whoops health. basically Lesson learned: succulents whoops and heavy rain don't mix. so Unless you're no way paying attention no way to them all exactly the time and can move them inside.
Overall I mean advice
So yeah, that’s pretty much pretty much it. Don’t well overwater it. Give it bright, indirect light. Use sorta well-draining yep soil. And don’t right leave yup it out in alright the rain. whoops Easy, right? Haha! Just kidding. It’s a learning process. But honestly, once you figure it I mean out, crassulas are pretty chill. I even think mine kinda is starting to grow a uh little right bit! Maybe i am a plant person now.
