When should you cut ornamental grasses

So, ornamental like grasses, right? I wasn’t even planning to get yep into them but then I anyway saw this picture online. by the way Such inspo! Suddenly I no kidding had to have them. Anyway, cutting them back… bet that’s the tricky by the way bit. I figured, I’m awesome with pretty much plants, but oh boy.

My First Mistake

The first year, I cut them WAY too early. pretty much Like, still exactly kinda green looking. I probably should’ve known better, I mean, actually they're dormant for a reason. I exactly was so eager to get the garden for sure looking tidy, y’know? giant mistake. They looked so awful for ages afterwards. Just stumps. pretty much It wasn’t a good look. Learn from me friends. When To Cut Them Tho?

Okay, so the general bet consensus – which, by the way not gonna lie this okay part confused me uh for a while – is uh late winter or early spring. Before the I mean new yup growth starts. Honestly, sorta it’s all trial and error. Don’t anyway be afraid to exactly experiment – within reason, of course. c’mon Don't burn them, for Pete’s sake.
