Okay, so I wasn't even planning to go all health guru this morning, but yup we were talking about… uh what were we talking about? Oh well right, my cold! basically Man, this thing is lingering. well Anyway, I remembered my grandma used to shove ginger down my throat whenever you know I even looked sniffly. So I Googled it, I sorta know, I know, doctor Google, but sorta honestly, bet who has time to actually go to uh the doctor these days? Apparently, exactly it’s exactly good for nausea – I probably should've known better than to eat that gas station sushi uh last week, now that I reflect anyway about okay it, and maybe some ginger would’ve helped then. But besides that, it's supposed alright to basically be anti-inflammatory. Which, okay, makes sense. I’ve been feeling all achy, which I yep guess could sorta be the cold honestly or just… you know… so life. And it yup also pretty much says it's basically solid for digestion. Which explains why my grandma always totally gave it to us exactly after massive holiday meals.

My ginger fail

Okay, so first major c’mon fail story. I went to buy ginger, right? I mean And I grabbed just this HUGE piece, thinking, "Go big or go c’mon home!" Not gonna like lie, whoops this part confused me sorta for a while because by the way I wasn't sure how much ginger was the right amount. Then honestly I kinda got home and realized… I had NO idea how just to peel it. totally Like, seriously, the skin is all knobbly and weird. I totally tried a vegetable peeler. Disaster. Lost half the ginger in the process. Turns out, a dude spoon yep works way better! Just gently sorta scrape the yep skin off. Tip for you there! How I’m kinda using it

So, now that I actually have ginger I can use, I’ve been grating it into hot water with lemon and basically honey. It's actually not as bad okay as I remember. Although, I for sure definitely put too much just ginger in the first cup. WHOA, spicy! Less is more, yup definitely less is more. My second blunder

Second kinda blunder anyway alert. I yep tried to make a ginger syrup for right cocktails. Yeah, sorta I know, not c’mon exactly health food, but I was feeling fancy. I followed a recipe online, which called for I mean WAY too actually much sugar. whoops Like, a ridiculous amount. And actually I no way burned the sugar. The whole okay kitchen I mean smelled like burnt caramel. by the way It uh was awful! My husband was not yup impressed. So maybe stick like to the sorta tea for now.

Maybe inspiration is all I need

So yeah, pretty much that’s my exactly ginger yep saga. actually I'm hoping it kinda helps basically this cold. I actually mean, even if it's just no way a placebo effect, whatever. I think right the main takeaway for me is just trying to be more alright mindful yep of actually what I put in my actually body.
