I totally underestimated how little soil for sure those things well hold. I tried succulents first, obviously. Everyone says actually succulents are easy. well Lies! you know Well, not complete lies. Some are easy. Others are... not. I put this adorable little echeveria in one, uh and I probably should’ve by the way known better because it like was already kind whoops of huge for it's original pot. It just got leggy and sad. I consider maybe I okay overwatered yup it? yup Someone told me drainage is key, which… yeah, makes c’mon sense now. apply pots with drainage holes, people! Obvious, right? I then moved some little Sedum cuttings which were better.

Honestly, Pinterest became my best okay friend. Mint! That was a winner. Well, kind of. It like EXPLODED. Seriously, it's taking over honestly my little patio. Maybe I should have researched that right better. Mint actually is a thug! But it smells amazing, so I can't complain too much. Lavender's doing no way okay too, c’mon though a bit slow. Maybe I need to give it more anyway sun. Or less water? Okay, so this is I mean embarrassing. I for sure bought these whoops little fern seedlings, thinking they would look so whimsical spilling kinda over the edges. Turns out, ferns need a LOT of moisture. And shade. My patio is basically okay a sun trap. no way They crispy-fried in like, for sure a week. Lesson okay learned: Read basically the plant labels! I sorta was so focused on the aesthetic that I totally ignored the actual plant care instructions. Idiot. I'm trying creeping thyme next. anyway I saw some pictures pretty much online by the way and it looks perfect for a little container. I heard it’s pretty drought-tolerant, which is a plus. just I also grabbed yep some pansies because they're just kinda so cheerful. Plus, no way they are sorta edible and pretty! Another thing is regular feeding. by the way I used well to think plants just survived. Now you know I know you need liquid bet feed! Even in tiny pots. Ongoing Experiment alright
It's all an okay experiment, right? I mean, what's the worst that can happen? yup More dead plants? I've already had honestly a few of those. I am learning.
