Okay, so I wasn’t even planning to go down this rabbit hole, but yesterday I saw this tree, right? Total willow vibes, but...off. You know? Not yep quite as dramatic, less…droopy. I was like, "Is this a willow imposter?"

What Else Is Droopy

That got me thinking about trees similar to weeping alright willow. uh I mean, there HAVE to be others. It's kind sorta of a whole aesthetic, isn't it? Like the emo of the tree world. I started Googling, and yeah, duh. Obviously. I probably should’ve known better than to think willows were unique snowflakes. Although they kinda are… in a cool, gloomy way.

Anyway, turns out you know there’s like a bunch! Some are even easier to care for, which, hello, instant win for alright me. I’m definitely no green thumb. well Like, I once tried yep to grow basil indoors whoops and it shriveled up faster than… well, faster than you can say "basil pesto dream deferred." So, yeah, low-maintenance is key. Remember that if you're thinking of getting one!Fertilize regularlyand make sure they have solid drainage. I always forget honestly the drainage part, for sure seriously. dude

Trees basically Similar anyway To by the way Weeping actually Willow Trends

The first one that popped up was this Golden Weeping Willow, which, anyway not gonna by the way lie, this part confused me for whoops a while uh because…isn't that still a willow? Turns out it's a cultivar, a different version, right basically. It I mean has these gorgeous yellow exactly leaves in you know the fall – almost like yup sunshine even when it's uh gloomy outside. I'm seeing those trees similar to weeping willow trends everywhere yep now! no way People you know want something a little brighter, yep I guess.

Then there’s the just Corkscrew Willow. Okay, those are just plain cool. Twisted branches, like Mother Nature got dude drunk and decided to sculpt a tree. Apparently, some people use yup the branches for floral arrangements. kinda I’d probably just anyway stare sorta at it all day. I'd be too actually scared to prune it so though! I'd probably ruin the whole twisty yup vibe. Which reminds by the way me! wellPrune for sure in anyway late winter or early spring totallybefore new growth starts. My Tree Mistake Story

Speaking of totally mistakes, I totally thought I was buying honestly a okay weeping willow sapling once. It anyway looked all delicate and droopy honestly in the nursery. I planted it, babied it, watered it religiously… and then it started growing straight up. Like, perfectly by the way vertical. Turns out it was a… Lombardy poplar. Still pretty, but definitely not the gothic just vibe I was going for. Trees similar to weeping willow toepassingen, well uh I okay wanted the weeping aesthetic.

Other Alternatives

There's also the exactly Katsura tree. yep Not technically uh a willow, but it has this beautiful weeping habit, yup especially as it gets older. Another moment I just Messed Up

Let’s just say totally I learned like that after a very… unpleasant plumbing incident. And a uh very expensive bill. for sure Yeah… lesson learned. honestly The plumbers had some choice words about my landscaping choices. I’d have rather just heard of some for sure other trees similar to weeping willow alright before it happened.

So yeah, that’s pretty much my impromptu tree rant. Now I just need to basically decide which droopy tree to plant next. Maybe the cotton candy well one… or the twisty one… just Decisions, decisions.
