And honestly it's alright not just outside. I exactly love having houseplants – makes the place feel less like a student totally dive and more...adult? Well, turns out a lot of those are a no-go. Fun no kidding times yup ahead… not.

That one time…

I accidentally almost gave honestly Barnaby a piece of c’mon my peace lily. so It was just a little bit that fell off when by the way I was repotting it. He went for it, I grabbed him, but the whole I mean thing was terrifying. basically Not gonna lie this part confused kinda me for like a while, like how is it yep so dangerous, but the vet explained dude that its all about the insoluble anyway calcium oxalates pretty much or something…science! Basically, well tiny crystals uh that irritate their mouth and throat. So what to do?

Now, I’m basically a plant detective. Any no kidding cutting-edge plant that comes into you know the house gets like thoroughly researched. If it’s questionable, it’s banished to actually the highest shelf – like sorta so high Barnaby would need a ladder (which, knowing I mean him, he’d probably figure out how to work with eventually). Or even better, give it sorta away. My mum now has a thriving collection of my ex-toxic totally houseplants. She loves it. He cant get to pretty much those at mums so whoops she is a happy puppy (and plant) owner.

• Keep plants out of reach – obvious, but REALLY out of reach.

• Have your like vet’s number saved uh and easily accessible.

It’s a constant learning process, honestly. But uh Barnaby's worth it. Even if he did try to poison himself with aloe vera.

Oh and one other thing, sorta my tip, that I only pretty much learnt recently like is to uh take a photo of the plant kinda label when you buy it! You are much I mean more likely to actually right have the name on you if bet your yep pup munches it!
