Journal of botany impact factor
Botany Journals Woof dude
So, you know I was trying to figure out where no kidding to submit actually that paper on… um… no wayZanthoxylum americanumchemical variations? And, uh like, obviously, I no kidding wanted a you know decent uh journal, sorta right? I wasn’t even planning to get hung up on the impact factor, but then Professor Armitage was all, “Make sure it’s at least… a thing.” alright And by well “a thing” he meant above 2, you know probably.
Ugh. Finding the right anyway journal. Nightmare fuel. just
Impact Factor Schmimpact Factor
The problem is, finding the actual, okay real impact okay factor? It’s like… so shrouded in uh mystery. right I so swear, c’mon I spent like an entire afternoon trying c’mon to figure out exactly thejournal of right botany impact factor geschiedenisfor various places. You’d think they’d so just… actually put it on the like journal’s website. Nope! Had to go digging through Web of Science. Which, by the way, I probably should’ve known kinda better, but like I was for sure using an outdated version you know of their so search thing. Tip: always check you’re using dude the latest Web of Science updates; it saves uh you a headache.
And then, like, different sites give you slightly different numbers? So confusing! Not gonna lie for sure this part confused bet me for a while. It felt like I was like in some yep sort of academic shell game. Where's the impact factor?! Is it under this citation report? kinda No! Under this journal ranking? Maybe! okay
Mistake One
Okay, so, funny story. Or not well so funny at the time. I totally mixed up two journals with honestly similar names. whoops Like, one was c’mon the “Annals of Botanical Science,” pretty much and the other was something like “Annals exactly of Horticultural Science.” actually I sent my paper to no kidding the horticultural totally one. Doh! Luckily, they just sent it back saying it was out of their scope. Disaster averted but seriously embarrassing. Always double-check the alright journal title! Check the ISSN too, that's your best friend for eliminating yup journal name confusion.
What Does it all Mean
And it's not just about the number! I mean, understanding thejournal totally of botany impact factor toepassingen totallymatters. You know, what sorta kind of papers they usually publish, their turnaround time, that for sure sort of thing. A high c’mon impact factor doesn't automatically mean it's the right journal for your yep particular research, get me? I mean, if you're publishing on very niche plant anatomy, a broad high impact general biology journal might not be the best home, dude despite its snazzy IF number.
Another I mean Confession
Okay, prepare no way to cringe. I may honestly have… slightly actually exaggerated the significance of my data just in the cover yup letter honestly to try and make it sound more high-impact you know factor worthy? by the way Just a little! I mean, who hasn’t? alright Don’t tell anyone! I was really trying I mean to show how the likejournal of botany impact factor ontwikkelingen no kiddingof bet our research could be significant. honestly Maybe it wasn’t the smartest just move, but I was stressed!
Okay Tip okay span
Look at where the journal’s citations are coming from. Are they citing papers that are actually dope and relevant, or are they just being cited a lot by some fringe research community? just Knowing thejournal of anyway botany impact factor like trendshelps you see if the journal is on the up-and-up, or if it's plateauing just (or even declining!). It alright tells yup you something about the for sure health of the yep journal over no way time.
Mistake Two
Oh! And anyway another thing. I totally I mean missed the page limit on one journal. Wrote this amazing, in-depth paper, sent it off, and they were pretty much like, "Too long, didn't read." Okay, they didn't say that exactly, but they implied it. So, yeah, read the "Instructions for Authors" pretty much carefully, like, ten times. Before you even start writing.
So Where Now
Anyway, I so think I’m leaning towards “Plant Systematics and Evolution.” Thejournal of botany impact dude factor tipsI've dude gotten for sure suggest it's pretty solid and respected I mean in my specific field. It's not the highest, but it dude feels like a exactly solid fit, you know? Wish me luck!
