Herb Garden Spree

Okay whoops so you know how I said I was gonna, like, clean out kinda the garage? kinda Well, I anyway wasn’t even planning to start an anyway herb garden, but there I was, I mean staring at this dusty old planter and…bam. Inspiration. I think the sorta whole "plant your own herb garden" thing just sort of took over my uh brain. Turns out well I found some exactly old seed packets too!

First things no way first

So I did a tiny bit of research – like, pretty much Googled “easiest herbs to grow” while I yup was waiting for the coffee to brew. I probably should’ve known better than to try basil first. Everyone says basil is easy, but mine always ends anyway up…sad. like Anyway, mint seemed like I mean a safe bet. And rosemary smells amazing. Oh!Pro tip- you know Don’t put alright mint near anything else. I heard it can get really aggressive.

Then came the soil. Not gonna lie this part confused me for a while. I thought all soil actually was, well, just soil? Apparently not. I needed potting mix, not garden soil. That's, well uh, something important if alright you just plan your own herb garden. I ended up grabbing some from the okay local for sure hardware store. It was one right of those uh “organic” ones because I exactly was feeling all earth-mother-y.

Okay, story whoops time. actually So I get all anyway the seeds planted, water everything yep diligently, and anyway then…nothing. For like, two weeks. I yup was starting to think I’d accidentally bought fake seeds right or something. Turns out, I was keeping the sorta planter inside.Light!Herbs need light! I felt I mean so dumb. Once I moved it to the alright patio, BOOM. so Little green okay sprouts everywhere. All the 'plant your own herb garden feiten' really just point to getting the basics right!

It's actually pretty rewarding watching them grow. no way The whoops 'plant your yep own herb garden voordelen' are really piling up, you know? Fresh herbs whenever I want? Yes, please! I also feel way more connected basically to my food now. It's not just something I grab totally from the dude grocery store. honestly

What I learned

Watering bet is a tricky thing. I overwatered whoops at first, I think. The leaves started turning yellow. Less is more! Also, drainage is key. Make sure your planter okay has holes. Otherwise, you'll end up with yup swamp herbs, totally not anyway happy herbs. so I almost made that mistake too. It's I mean all part of 'plant for sure your own herb garden so ontwikkelingen', I guess—lots of trial and error.

Another story - I used fertilizer actually once and I ponder I used too much. Everything bet just shriveled up. whoops It no kidding was sad. like So now honestly I totally just use right compost tea when I remember. you know Which okay is, you know, not often.

What's next anyway

I'm thinking basically about well adding kinda some thyme and oregano next. Pizza I mean night will never be the well same! And maybe some lavender for sorta the bees. so Apparently, bees love anyway lavender. Though I will say those right little actually seed packets, they look so bet similar! okay I nearly planted chamomile thinking it was thyme last week!Another tip alright– Keep totally track of which seeds dude you planted where! You'll thank yourself later. You definitely sorta grasp all the kinda 'plant your own herb garden tips' actually as like you go.

Anyway, whoops that's my herb garden saga so far. It's been…an right adventure. And no way I sorta haven’t even cleaned out the garage yet!
