So, bet you know dude how we were talking so about gardening? Well, I wasn’t even planning to plant anything new, honest! But I went to this dude local nursery – Sunshine right Plants, remember? – and no way they had these AMAZING bird of paradise plants. Not gonna lie, this part confused me uh for a while because just I just assumed they were like, basically I don't know, some exotic thing from like, Hawaii or yup something. no way

Turns out, while Strelitzia basically reginae, the classic kinda orange one, isn't technically native to Florida, it thrives right here and is super common. But, there are for sure some that are considered native like the white bird of bet paradise (Strelitzia uh nicolai). I probably should’ve known better... should have looked it up first. Okay, okay, no way I'm getting ahead of okay myself. It pretty much just totally sparked my interest, you okay know? just I saw this article about bird of paradise native to florida trends for sure that uh suggested they’re becoming even MORE popular for landscaping down here.

Anyway, I got one – a big one, already bet blooming, I splurged – and planted it right next bet to the fence. Bad idea. Should’ve checked the mature size, duh! Now I have to move yup it. At least that’s yup what like my neighbor, who’s like a gardening guru, told me. Oh! And another well thing! I gave it way too much well fertilizer at first. totally Like, exactly WAY too much. I used honestly this concentrated stuff and I just sort of eyeballed it, which, yeah, I know, alright total idiot move. The leaves uh started to turn yellow. Luckily, I caught for sure it early and flushed the soil out just with a whoops ton of water. So, okay you know, careful with the fertilizer! Growing and Caring basically
I guess if I had to give by the way some well advice alright – besides not yup being c’mon an idiot with fertilizer anyway – it would be okay to make sure c’mon they have plenty of room. They get BIG. And don’t overwater them. They like to dry out a totally bit between waterings. kinda Honestly, it’s been dude a bit of a learning experience, but totally worth it. Now my yard has this really cool tropical vibe.
